Ringling vs. RISD

Hey hey

I want to go into illustration and Risd and ringling are my top top choices. I get the impression from Risd, however, that they are more observation based and not 'concepty' and fluid as Ringling (just take a look at ringling's perspective book; the kids draw sophisticated yet quirky material). I know Risd has the reputation and probably is better located, but I get the feeling Ringling suits my personality more.
But I'm basing all of this on very intuitive knowledge.

Does anyone else think that RISD is more traditional compared to Ringling? Does anyone know about the illustration teacher at RISD? (i'm already familiar with the teacher at Ringling. Don Brandeis is the man!)

Also, I heard on this forum that RISD doesn't teach much digital media. True?

Gracias mucho.

LAST QUESTION. New college worth going to for art?

I'm not very familiar with RISD but I know that it has a great graphic arts program. But if you think Ringling is a better fit, then go there.

What college do you mean by "New College"?

New College in Sarasota. I'm more of a fan of the teaching style there than anything
