Hey all! I was just wondering how difficult it is to transfer to RISD? I’m going to be a sophomore at UCLA next year and I was planning on applying by Nov. 1 for spring admission. Also, does which major you apply for affect your chances? And can you apply undeclared?
Some background:
-I was previously accepted into RISD in 2016 for painting but didn’t attend
-I’m undeclared at UCLA and I’m in the liberal arts college there (not the college of art and architecture)
-I took a painting class at UCLA but ended up taking the rest of quarter off for personal issues, so I didn’t end up finishing the painting class.
-I want to apply to RISD for painting and a concentration in History of Art + Visual Culture (HAVC)
I would greatly appreciate any feedback and/or advice!
