Rising GPA After College Application Submitted

My daughter had a good GPA when she submit several college applications. She is doing even better her Senior year while taking a few more AP classes. Her GPA is going to rise a bit. Is it worth reporting this to the colleges in regards to merit-based scholarships?

Thanks in advance.

If your daughter is applying regular decision, it is VERY likely that her colleges will request her midterm grades. If that is the case, the colleges will get those better grades.

To others…isn’t that usually the case…that midterm grades are requested for regular decision applicants??

Some schools have deadlines for merit consideration, but some don’t and will consider later GPA or test score increases so check with her schools.

Also do these schools use weighted GPA? If not, then the AP boost may not matter.

Also, one semester’s grades won’t likely have that great of an impact on the 6 previous semesters.

Thanks for your replies. They do use weighted GPA. I know it probably won’t make a huge difference but any little bit might help.
