Race: Black (1st generation Ethiopian)
Income Bracket: 20,000>

CHANCE ME PLEASE FOR:
Johns Hopkins Early Decision
Georgetown
Columbia U
U Penn
UCLA
U of Southern California
U of Houston
U of Chicago
UW- Madison

If you could label as Reach, Match, and Safety that would be fantastic.

All of those schools are reaches with a 25 ACT.

If you can get your ACT up to a 30 (easier said than done):
Johns Hopkins Early Decision - Low Reach
Georgetown - Low Reach
Columbia U - High Reach
U Penn - High Reach
UCLA - High Match
U of Southern California - High Match
U of Houston - idk lol
U of Chicago - High Reach
UW- Madison - Match

Don’t take my chances too seriously, but take my advice and get that ACT score up.

If you want to try out the SAT, message me and I can give you a list of free online resources and practice tests.

Although practice ACT score isn’t good, you never know what you’ll get for your real ACT! Also, try take the SAT. I personally liked the SAT better because it’s more logic-based rather than knowledge-based. Other than that, your academics and ECs are amazing, especially considering that you are a minority and ranked #1. Good luck!! :)

No offence, but living in America doesn’t make your “ehitopian” background that great.
Johns Hopkins is one of the best medical schools to go to, but you’re taking accelerated maths…

If your dad went to UHouston, then how are you a first generation Ethiopian? Does that mean that you’re a first gen American or a first gen college student?

Johns Hopkins - Low Reach
Georgetown - Low Reach
Columbia U - High Reach
U Penn - High Reach
UCLA - Match
U of Southern California - High Match
U of Houston - Match
U of Chicago - High Reach
UW- Madison - Match

@Hawkace Colleges accept int’l students. Maybe the dad went to school here, then came officially and the OP is the child of immigrants. Seems plausible

^^Is pretty off lol
Johns Hopkins - High Reach
Georgetown - High Reach
Columbia U - High Reach
U Penn - High Reach
UCLA - High Reach
U of Southern California - High Reach
U of Houston - High Match
U of Chicago - High Reach
UW- Madison - Low Reach

John Hopkins: Low Reach
Georgetown: Low Reach/ High Match
Columbia: High Reach
U Penn: High Reach
UCLA: Match
U Southern California: Match
U Houston: Match
U Chicago: Reach
UW Madison: Match

FYI: First generation Ethiopian would mean that you are the first generation to be born outside of Ethiopia. First generation college student would mean you’re the first to go to college as a diaspora. So, a person could be both or just one. In my case, I’m not first generation COLLEGE, only first generation in terms on birth place.
