Hi everybody,

I am a rising senior, and I as part of my college research, I have narrowed down a few majors I would be interested in, and accounting is one of them.

I'm interested in UIUC, Umich, and U Texas Austin, but I'm slightly doubtful because I'm an international student, and as for U Texas Austin, I understand that they accept a lot of Texas residents.

Does that mean I don't stand a chance? What about for UIUC and Umich accounting programs? Are they very very competitive as well? Do they accept a lot of international students?

I am in the top 10% of my junior class of 200 people, possibly top 5% depending on how my senior year goes.

I am doing the full IB Diploma (most rigorous program), lots of ECs/leadership...but my problem is my SAT score. I have taken 1 one in January, and my other indicators are from practice tests. I will take the May one next week. My current SAT score range is around 1870-1950, with one fluke 2170.

This is really getting on my nerves, and I'd like a second opinion. I don't know if I'm aiming too high, or if I have a chance.

Any comments would be appreciated!

Thanks alot. :)
