RISING SOPHOMORES! where are YOU applying?

I'm going to be a sophmore next year..if that counts lol

Dream school: Princeton
other schools:
University of Miami, USC, Stanford, maybe even Oxford :P

norabelle..if you're out of schools then you're a sophomore

ok got it lol

My dream school is Cornell (CALS), but I haven't really thought of others. Oh and the deal with still being a sophmore and thinking of college choices is that we will obviously be better prepared, such as higher GPAs and commitment in ECs. I understand that things can chance, but I'm almost positive now, I've wanted to go to Cornell since like 1st grade.

I'm a rising junior and I still have no idea where I want to go. Unfortunately, as a sophomore I realized that people really expected me to know. I think it's crazy to know that early and you will probably not stick with your choices (in most cases, anyway). Maybe I'm just really indecisive and direction-less, but hey!

Oh, and just because you know where you want to go to college at a younger age doesn't mean you have some kind of advantage. You actually might only focus on that school and forget about others that you might like better.

im a rising junior too....i HATE when people i barely know say "oh wow ur going to be a junior huh? thats the toughest year ya know...so..what college do you want to go to? what are you going to major in? huh? huh?"
annoying old people....sry, ive had like 15 people in the past week tell me im going to die this year...its starting to p*ss me off cuz its none of their business what classes i take..i like science dammit

Ummm....you're gonna like...die this year.

Why do you say that?

how witty

I try I try .

lindsey, cornell's not THAT hard to get into. my sister went there, and she had almost no ECs (marching band for two years, volunteering, yearbook for two years...) and her grades weren't perfect so yeah. of course she was class of '01 so maybe times have changed, but not that much. :P eh

Thanks ductTape,
My grades are pretty good, and I hope that the fact that I am in the FFA, which means I am taking agriculture classes in high school should help me right? Well I really hope I get in sooo badly... its like sooo perfect... close to home (well almost all the ivys are when you live in the North East... well it's just perfect) .... thanks for reassuriung me!!!

Lindsey, I see you mentioning FFA a lot, what exactly is it? I've never heard of it before.

future farmers of america perhaps?

yes it is! Well it is pretty much a National Organization that has a lot to with Agriculture. Since I want to become a veterinarian it is good for me because I can take Animal Science classes in high school. In some ways it is kind of complicated, but they have state and national conferences where everyone meets and they have agriculture related competitions called CDEs (Career Development Events) that compete at chapter, state, regional and national level.

Um... we also have to conduct meetings with parlimentary procedure and have an officer team at chapter, state and national levels.

We also are required to complete 300 work experience or community service hours per year.

I'm probably forgeting stuff if you are really interested look at www.ffa.org

Dream Schools- MIT and CIT.

I am not even going to tell all of you how ridiculous this thread is. Get a life, have fun, you crazy 10th graders.

For my first day in AP STAT as a sophmore I had to writied an autobiographical sketch of myself. I wrote that I wanted to get into UPenn, but would probally end up going to Michigan to major in History and Math.

Let me just say that now, as a rising senior those schools and history is not even on my radar.

This thread is worthless.
