Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) seems like such a good school and seems to have lots of networking opportunities, but it is ranked relatively low compared to the other schools.

I was wondering why its rankings are so low and how it ranked in electrical engineering.

There is some difference between “good” and “ranked”. RIT is a fine choice for undergraduate education in EE, including the co-op program.

The schools you listed in the other post are also good choices, but might be higher ranked. In two of those cases, big-time sports play an indirect role. More directly, the peer assessment portion of the ranking depends heavily on the amount and type of research, and the production of Ph. D. graduates. Universities value and respect those things a lot more than they do undergraduate education.

For you, it comes down to the best fit, the best financial picture, and what you make of the opportunity. I would not worry about any difference in rankings for EE.
