My son has not heard yet - Mech Engineering - act 29, lots of extras
Does this mean he is prob waitlisted or denied ?
My son also has not heard yet for Mechanical Engineering. He’s more patient than I am. This is the last school he is waiting on and the wait is driving me crazy. It’s hard not to be worried when so many others have already received their acceptance.
We are waiting on ME as well. I’m starting to lose hope
Accepted to Computing and Information Technologies but waitlisted from CS. Is there a huge difference between the programs?
There is a pretty big difference in the required classes, I’d take a look at both and compare, they have flowcarts online.
CS is next to impossible, I am told, to transfer into but other options within the college like Software Engineering are not.
CIT a great option and many jobs that a CS or software engineering major can get, so can a CIT major.
Congratulations!
My son is waiting for ME as well. Seems to be more than a few still waiting. Don’t lose hope!
Same here. My son’s grades and scores are well within range of being accepted. I wonder if there were a lot of ED applicants and they are waiting for room to open up. Maybe they don’t want to waitlist kids because they know they will go somewhere else? Or maybe they are waiting to see what scholarship money is available after the ED kids make their decisions? Just trying to make sense of it all since Clarkson accepted him almost immediately with a very generous merit scholarship.
Damn expected to get better financial aid since my family income is $30k per year, but still gonna cost $12k per semester even after my scholarship
Yes we have a very generous offer from Clarkson as well and are going to accepted student day, hard to plan on going to Rit accepted day when you don’t know if accepted or not
My son was also accepted to Clarkson. Still waiting to receive financial packet. Is it sent via email or regular mail? No word yet from RIT…
Clarkson’s financial came in mail a few weeks ago
Still no word from RIT
They will hold events in many cities on March 24th for accepted students.
Financial package should come in both forms - electronic notice through the application portal and then a physical mailing a few days later.
@soccerdad72 … son got accepted 3/13 … ya think financial info coming anyday?
I just called RIT admissions today because I was starting to worry that something had gone wrong with my son’s application. She said that they received an unusually high number of applicants this year and everyone should be notified by next monday 3/25.
@schristopher78 which program did your son apply to? We heard from admissions last week that they hoped to have all decisions sent by this past Monday (3/18). But as of yet, my DD hasn’t received a decision.
He is Mechanical Engineering Aerospace option
I hope you hear soon! My DD is Film & Animation.
Thank you…you too!
I emailed admissions to inquire as well, was told my son would hear by end of this week.
