Riverboat Natchez Dinner Cruise

Is anyone signing up for this? If you've done it, would you recommend it?

LuckyMe - It’s not right that you’re being IGNORED like this!!!

We didn’t take the dinner cruise, so I can’t help there. But lunch/dinner at Commander’s Palace would be a memorable alternative.

No personal experience here. I did sign my son up though.

We went on it a few years ago. For S, it wasn’t much fun. He’s not a rah-rah social type and didn’t really know anybody, except mom and dad. I know he wouldn’t do it again. That said, it COULD be fun, particularly if you already know some kids to hang out with.

LuckyMe - I signed my son up for the riverboat cruise…my son and I noticed lots of kids on Tulane’s FB page were eagerly signing up before they got closed out. I think it will be a fun evening and it only lasts two hours anyway…

I signed my son up for it. We were told at the Local Meet and Greet that it is a Freshman Tradition and its only for Freshman. It fills up fast. I think it would be a fun way to start the year!

I signed my son up for it too. I called the school and spoke to a student who said almost all Freshmen do this and it’s a lot of fun. He also said that they hire a DJ.

I just signed up my S, too. From the looks of this thread, there will be a lot of boys going. I hope some girls join the cruise, as well. Where is Fallenchemist’s daughter? Is she going on this cruise???

I’m a girl going on the cruise :)

my daughter is going on the cruise too

i’m also a girl going on the cruise!

Have no fear, MartiniGirl. She is indeed going.

Yay! :)

Do parents go on this too?

lazydog - no, this is students only. Parents should be gone by then.

aight cool

DS did it last year. He had a good time, IIRC.
