Rochester or OSU?

Any input would be greatly appreciated. :)

I plan to be a biology/chemistry major and attend med school in four years.

University of Rochester:
- slightly better school (according to rankings?)
- I liked it better from visits
- $3000 research grant
- F1 visa (would be able to get internships and work on campus)

Cost:
- approximately $35,000 a year
(half tuition scholarship and 4k loan)

OSU:
- cheaper
- TD visa (cannot get internship/work on campus)

Cost:
- approximately $15,000 a year
(5k scholarship)

Comes down to whether or not the benefits of Rochester outweighs the cost?

Would it stretch your finances or not? If one can afford a pricier car/house/school/dinner than choosing it is never an issue. If one is looking at oodles of debt (80K in this case) to get any of the above, then it’s doubtful. If in between, then it becomes tricky. Where is the tipping point?

Which group are you in financially? If the first, choose the school you like. If the second, choose the least expensive. If the third, how much debt would you need? If less than 20K I’d probably consider them equal.
