Rockefeller Gives Harvard $100 Million

Ensuring the Rockefeller Clan will get into Harvard for the next 100 years.

Maybe, but he gives because he went to Harvard. He has given over many, many years. See, for example, the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies.
If one Rockefeller gets into Harvard per year (are there even that many), dozens of Harvard students benefit from David Rockefeller's largesse.

Yeah, they are a generous family. The most politically powerful member of the family as of recently, David's deceased Nelson (VP under Ford), was a Dartmouth alum and Psi Upsilon member, donated tons of money to that school (probably to up end his brother). As a result, many members of that fraterity (esp those who were Dartmouth alums and Casque & Gaultlet secret society members) find power in the liberal wing of the Republican Party, as well as other diplomatic, business and banking ventures.

I bet David just got bored and saw his checkbook lying around. He's an old man with nothing to do, can't blame him. It's also a "Beat That!" to the other wealthy alums. Not even the Kennedys can match this. So many students will travel the world for free because of this man. :)

That's the ROC at work there.

No wonder Jay-Z named his record label after these guys.

yay money !!

Yay for $$. That donation and lots more is what is helping to pay for my son's education at Harvard (cause we don't have any $) :)

^ except his donation doesn't go to general financial aid

No, but it will underwrite study abroad by a lot more students and it allows Harvard to shift other funds to general financial aid.
