I was wondering if there was a 2008-2009 edition to the Rocket Review. Cuz I got mine thru the mail today and i got the 2006-2007 edition...is this still good??

it's basically the same...

One more thing, is there any way I can get the answer explanations to the bluebook?? and also, is Direct Hits worth buying?? and then what's Grammatix? how do you get that?

powerbomb: Rocket Review is a terrible book. No practice. Tons of tips and test-taking strategies. No use at all. Anyway, enjoy the book. I bought mine 4 months ago, and immediately regretted buying it. Sigh.

^ actually I like Rocket Review's writing section a lot score went up from 520-->690

how do you go about using your SAT prep books? when you buy one, do you read from beginning to end, or do you skip all the little author's messages in the beginning and go straight into the information?

oh yeah, meadow, I PMed you...

powerbomb- it depends. with princeton review (crummy book, btw) I read all the intro and explantions- but I had absolutly no knowledge about the SAT before that. Now, I go back and forth. For instance, right now I'm using RocketReview. (Which I really like, actually.) I want to up my CR score, so I'll read some of the tips, and than try them out on some problems from an practice SAT in another book.
so basically, find what works for you. But don't feel obligated to read it all the way through.

I think Rocket Review is actually really helpful, but I'd reccomend getting it used or from the library (as I did). There's really no need to write in the book as there are few problems aside from the math.
