This site is filled with references to ‘passion’ about an activity or EC in your life. Not only have I seen this as the top reason for accepts/rejects at top schools, but it is also stated as the most important thing in your application and essay. Basically, if you’re not passionate about something, you probably will not get into an ivy or other difficult schools. My question is: what affect does passion actually have on college admissions? And what if you aren’t truly passionate about anything? :-S
If you aren’t passionate and are simply just generic_overachiever.exe, then you won’t inpress top colleges. Passions help to make you stand out
Didn’t you start off by answering your own question?
@Multiverse7 I think the OP is looking for confirmation/clarification. They stated what they’ve seen on this site, and are asking “is this really true”?
