I am planning on apply to a variety of schools in the state of Minnesota, but do you think it would be wise to apply to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities asap? I'd get this application out of the way, and I am very likely to get in. I wouldn't mind having that as a safety school before applying to other schools in the state.

Has anyone else done this? Applied rolling admissions way early?

With rolling admissions, it’s always a good idea to submit your app as soon as possible. Just make sure you aren’t missing anything, and double check for any potential mistakes.

As long as you’re not waiting for an additional piece of your record to come in (eg. test score, sr mid-term grades) to help with your acceptance, then it never hurts to apply early for rolling admissions.

It’s a great feeling to have an acceptance in your pocket early in the admissions cycle!
