Wow, I’m really surprised your son didn’t get invited to the scholarship competition weekend. He sounds like an outstanding candidate. Are you from Florida or OOS? The one student I know who was invited last year and actually won a full ride is from Florida so I wonder if the majority of invites go to Florida applicants. Sorry your son didn’t get an invite. My son received a very generous package too (I think our COA would be $25,500 after scholarship & grant.) Just a little above our SUNY options. He plans to apply for the Bonner Leaders program so that could add some extra merit if he gets in. We visited the summer before his junior year and he really liked the vibe so definitely a contender. We’re from Pennsylvania. Our son’s older brother graduated from SUNY-ESF last May. He very much enjoyed his time there.
