Rollins Vs. New College of FL

Hi, I’m transferring from an Honors Program and I limited my choices to Rollins College and New College of FL.

I have a few concerns:

  • NCF - the independent projects and thesis and small class size. Especially entering as a junior Im afraid I’ll be delayed and will struggle. My graduating class from high school was about 800 people I don’t think I want to be in such a small student body.
  • Rollins - "party school" I have a pretty balanced life of some social life but I'm a big study person so I'm concerned how much temptations I will have and if I'll easily be able to find some serious students in a school that's none for its affluent party people.

I need to make a descion by Monday March 15!

What is your intended major?

International Relations

Did you make your decision already?

I haven’t. Still working on it :frowning:

it’s tough because IR requires grad school and NCF has excellent grad school placement, but it’s also intellectually intense and it has a unique atmosphere, either you like it or not. On the other hand, Rollins is more structured but also more preprofessional, so while their foreign language and international studies/international business classes are solid and can only enrich your goals, they aren’t as focused on grad school.
