Rollins?

Positives? Negatives? Can you get a serious education there or is it a country club?

Northstarmom’s S is at Rollins. I think they are both very happy with his experiences and the education he is receiving there.

Thanks for the heads up, my-3.

We live about 5 minutes away from Rollins.

Lovely campus. Just beautiful.
I occassionally attend evening events there through the Winter with the Writers program.
It’s compact and park-like. Stunning, really.

D & I went there this year for a day visit & was very impressed.

My sister has a friend who is a professor there, through her, D was able to sit in on a gen-ed Freshman English class, which she just loved! (Not the friend’s class, another professor.) They sat in a circle discussing their reading. D was impressed with how prepared the students were & the depth of their discussion.

I spoke with a mom & son last night. S goes to Rollins & loves it. Neat theatre program which is very attractive for D.

Would love to hear from others w/ Rollins experience.
Rollins is high on D’s list -would be #1, except it is very nearly around the corner & D is afraid it’s too close to home! :)

Thanks for your feedback, 1sttime…We’re looking forward to checking it out…I’ll show my husband your comments tonight.

It’s a lovely area.
Try the Pita Pit for lunch… just off campus. Or walk the length of Park Ave & hit Panera.

If you’re there on a Saturday - hit the farmer’s market!
