I got an email today “thanking everyone for RSVPing to the awards event and that there is still time to RVSP” and also “congratulating me on my award” but I haven’t received anything in the mail or any phone calls. I live in northern cal…i want to celebrate but i don’t know if it’s a mistake !

Good news for me too

@ Zephyr- Follow up but it seems like you’re one of the winners too!

mail came today…still nothing in south tx…

when is the awards ceremony???

So, I you will recieve news of rejection right.

I just found out I got the AAFA scholarship.

Nothing today in Texas.

The awards ceremony is this week.

Haha rejected today in NYC from RMHC Asia. Should have worked on essay more. Oh well.

For those of you who have won, how much did the scholarship offer you? They gave me considerably less than I thought I would receive. A couple of years ago, a girl from my school got $50,000!! I blame it all on the economy. Oh well, I’m still very grateful. :p

From the website:

RMHC ASIA gave me $1k renewable.

Awards is next week for us, though I’m going to be away in Reno for Intel and can’t make it :

Do they have seperate regions or something.

I got the RMHC Asia one and it says “You have been selected as one of the recipients of $1000 scholarship.” Does anyone’s letter say anything about the scholarship being renewable? I’m guessing mine is not renewable since it doesn’t mention anything of the sort…

Are rejection letters given out or do they just not tell you?

Well mine says to check back in 2010 for another 1k. It didn’t say explicitly it was renewable, but it seems very much like it if you maintain grades and such.

I won $2,000 from the Ronald McDonald House Charities for any students, not specifically for a certain ethnic/racial group. I got my award letter around May 6th or so.

@bizzyjudy: Did that girl from your school tell you she got $50K from RMHC or did the RMHC publicize it? That seems like an unbelievable amount of money for one winner; that’s more than financial aid packages at most universities!

Just curious, I applied to the AAFA and still have not heard anything…yes or no. I saw two different deadlines. A Jan. and a March. I live in SoCal.
****bimachris
did they send you a letter?

***thisguyiscool
where to you live? Did it have any contact info? Thanks for the help.

Yeah they sent me a letter telling me blah blah blah we’re sorry. meh. :/

Sorry bimachris I’m not sure what to think.

Did you apply to any other scholarships?

Thanks for the quick response.
