<p>I've heard that there is only room to list five EC's on one's college application. Is this true? if not, how many? Can someone tell me the format in which applicants must list EC's on their applications?</p>

<p>The Common App has a grid where you fill out the number of hours/week and weeks/year, with a half line for comments. I would recommend using the "other information" box at the end to give a more substantive explanation (major accomplishments, leadership positions, etc.)</p>
<p>I agree with listing major accomplishments in the other info box. One of the big things for me was listing some of the smaller activities that I have been involved in. These were important because they were unique, but were not that time consuming in the same way as my normal ECs were. That other info box gives you a spot to mention some of those extra things that set you apart.</p>
