It's always been noticeable but the last couple days my room has wreaked of my roommate. I don't know how to describe his odor other than it reminds me of a wet dog. Anyway, I walk into the room. And it like hits me in the face. He's just sitting there in his chair like a lazy lump like he's trying to make the room smell like him. He spends all his time in the room if he's not in class, he's been in here for over 12 hours now. Doesn't even make an attempt to go to the gym anymore, so when he's sitting there his stomach gets progressively chubbier. It's so gross. Nothing I do makes the room smell better now. He's sleeping so I went around the room spraying my deodorant around but it's like his odor just murdered it.

Ugh.. And he's a friend from high school.. If I had known he would smell so bad... Luckily I'm transferring after this semester, after all this I'm thinking of requesting a single..

Anyone have any tips on how to deal with this?

“Dude” :: proceed to sniff both of your armpits::
“Do you smell that?” ::continue to sniff yourself:: “Phew, it’s not me, but do you smell that?” ::gets up and start sniffing around the room like a dog:: “Did something die in here?” ::check refrigerator::

If he doesn’t get the hint … this is where Glade Plugins scented gels come in handy.

I had reed diffusers last year. My roommate’s perfume smelled like essence of skank and she bathed in it every morning before going out. Incidentally she hated my reed diffuser too but wouldn’t say anything about it. Her stuff still smelled but at least I could sit at my desk or lay in my bed without smelling her.
