HOW do we go about finding roomies? Is there a survey we take? I already submitted my housing and dining and there were a few questions on there but definitely not enough to match someone well!

By filling it out you requested a random roommate

is there any other ways to match yourself up with a roomate?

from what i’ve heard the best option is ■■■■■■■■ but it costs money to use. you could also try facebook if you’re in the umd 2016 group. basically if you want to be matched based on more than the questions umd asks, you have to look for a roommate yourself and then send in a request to be roomed with them.

I’d definitely try to find one on facebook first; ■■■■■■■■ is pretty sketchy from what I hear. There are a couple articles about it.

I know Justin Gaither, the founder of ■■■■■■■■, offered to pay to be an admin on the UMD facebook group so that he could advertise to all the students. I know a couple people that have used ■■■■■■■■, and they say it’s fine for finding a roommate. Still, I think facebook is your best bet. Plus, it’s free.
