kutibah: i found my roommate using your reverse method. but wouldn't it be creepy to add your roommate that way??

kutibah,

i found both of my roomies using your reverse method too... but the problem is, they don't have facebooks! or maybe the name listed is the mother's name, which doesn't give the last name of the person. arghh

Where did you get your roommates' phone numbers? On the housing move-in site, it displays my roommates' first names and some numbers, but the numbers don't have proper 3 number area codes.

^it includes area code.

it's in this format; first three is area code, followed by the seven digit phone number.
XXX - XXXXXXX

hrm...mine aren't like that.
one of them is XX-XXXXXXX
and the other is X-XXXXXXXX

Damn, I feel like a stalker... I did that and found the last name and searched that on facebook. Weird thing is, the person is listed as a soph. I thought transfers get housed with transfers? Ehhh

Yup, stalkers. haha.
So, anyone from 330 De Neve Dr. at Delta Terrace?

I hope both of my roommates are transfers as well.

How about just texting them? That way you wouldn't have to face the pain of calling out of nowhere.

you can't text home phone numbers :( and it also doesn't help when one roommate decided not to release their info

Of course you can text phone numbers...

I am so excited I got the 9th floor in hedrick summit and I'm pretty sure it is facing the east side I cannot wait to meet all of my roomies I don't know pretty much anybody who lives down there so everyone will be new to me lol.

I don't think it's stalkerish. I mean you're just trying to find out who the hell you'll be spending every day with for the next year...don't you think you deserve to know?

And yeah not everyone might have a facebook...

haha the numbers they list are home numbers cause I tried texting and it wouldnt work.

hey i got assigned to room 970 in hedrick summit (i think west side) how do you think the view is from that side??

eharvey: the way I understand it is if you have 970-A,B,C or D you'll have a great view. My son is in 903 and I was told he would be looking at Hedrick hall. No view :(

@ deuces

he means texting land lines

I only found one of my roommates. and the other number is listed as unpublished. anyways, so second floor sproul has no view i'm guessing. bummer. oh well, good for an earthquake I guess =)

....oops, nevermind.

My son found his roommate on facebook. The roommate also posted the first names of his roommates so they were all able to connect.

@PeskytheBobCat

I'm going to be living in Saxon E too! I guess I'll be seeing you then :)

"hrm...mine aren't like that.
one of them is XX-XXXXXXX
and the other is X-XXXXXXXX"

does anyone know why my roommates' phone numbers are so weird? i thought that they may be international students, so i searched up their numbers on skype (skype tells you which country the phone number is from), and apparently, my roommates are from liechtenstein and bukina faso. while i have nothing against people from those countries, it seems way too weird to be correct....

am i looking at the right numbers?! i got the numbers from the move-in reservation page under roommate information.
