does anyone know of a good way to find a roommate for the next school year? I got into UMN and am going to be a freshman there next fall. I would really like to live in an apartment, and I want to find someone who is interested as well.

On facebook, there is an official UMN Class of 2021 page (closed group). Just type in University of Minnesota Class of 2021 and you should find it. Guessing there are quite a few roommate searches going on over there, including for off-campus living.

Are you in-state or OOS? If the former, then you might see if others in your HS class are planning to live off-campus. However, part of the great college experience would be to break out of the high school clique so this should be a last resort
