When would be the best time to start looking for a roommate?
I’ve decided I am going to attend UA next fall and have paid all deposits. I have glanced at UA’s roommate finder but don’t know when the best time to start actively looking for someone is.
Also have any current/former students found roommates easily with this search?
My daughter found hers through social media… I know there is a facebook group that has started already and I believe there is something on Instagram. The only issue with looking this early is that many kids (regardless of what they may say to you) are not 100% committed. They may still be waiting to hear from their dream school which does not send out acceptances until April or they may be waiting on scholarship offers from other schools that have not been released yet. It may work out this early, but do not be surprised if it doesn’t. The schools matching site is a good place to start but contact is through Crimson email and many kids will not be checking that regularly at this point.
