I just got my roommate assignment today in the mail! It comes in a package with move-in information. My roommate's going to be an international student from Hong Kong. This should be interesting...

Gah! Why can't the post office deliver on sundays? I'm kinda anxious to find out who I'm rooming with.

Also, does the packet tell us what room we'll be in?

I second that!!! :(

ek1000, is the move-in info the one in the brochure with flamingoes on it? Or is it in addition to that, cuz I got the Flamingo brochure yesterday.

Speaking of which, what is the exact representation of the flamingos?? I looked at that, and I thought "That's interesting" cuz it made no sense whatsoever. Not a whole lot of flamingos in LA... especially near compton and watt.

Cant wait till I find out who my roomies are. I got 7 roommates!! Its gonna be nuts

USCwannabe, if you're in Parkside Suites then I think you only get the name of the roommate in your very room. You'll probably have to wait until Move-in day to learn the identities of your 6 "suitemates".

Do correct me if I'm wrong. :)

Redski59, the flamingo brochure is not the move-in info. You'll get the move-in packet soon enough.

ok, thanks protokurios. Now I have to suffer a day and a half before the mailman makes his next round. :(

Chris Rock said it best, if the Bank was open on Sunday, no one would be at church ;)

yea...the move-in packet is different from the flamingos which is the welcome week packet...you dont get the room number...the paper just says the type of room (which you already know) and the information that your roommate released

Well, for some reason TrojanHousing sent me an email this morning with my roommate's information.

A couple of hours later, the actual envelope arrived in the mail. :)

I just got mine in the mail. Unfortunately he doesn't have facebook, but I'm probably going to call him in the next few days. Crazy stuff, he's from Hawaii.

this is cool... mines from Las vegas.

The triple assignment at the Radisson got cut down to a double :)

I've heard that our roommates are the people that we stand next to in line on move-in day.....

That's awesome that the Radisson got cut down to a double. It was nice and spacious when I had it that way.

The summer before my freshman year, I got roommate info about a Radisson roommate for whatever reason, but it wasn't right because you get assigned your roommates move-in day. Basically I did see that everyone I stood around were my neighbors (I was around guys though, so the rooms on either side of me were those guys), but I don't know how I got my actual roommate. I was around the third girl in line I guess, and then I didn't get a roommate until the next day. It wasn't the next girl in line, so I don't know what happened with that.

pubert18, by any chance, is your roommate's name arif??

naw, it wasn't arif.

I just got my roommate assignment...Some kid from Hawaii....tiiiiiiiiiiight...(Parkside)

FIGHT ON!

My roommate is from NJ so we aren't far from each other, but I haven't gotten to talk to her yet.
