<p>Does anyone know if there are restrictions on who freshman can/can't room with?</p>

<p>Because one of my friends is an incoming freshman and I'm an incoming transfer (junior level), and we want to room together on campus. My friend was saying that he doesn't think that freshmen are allowed to room with transfers... does anyone know if there's any validity to that? </p>

<p>I've searched the website and haven't found anything. I also emailed the housing department but you never know when they'll get back to you. It could be first thing tomorrow morning or never.</p>

<p>When I was filling out a housing application, I’m pretty sure I remember seeing a note that freshmen could not request a roommate that was not also a freshman. I don’t think it’s necessarily being a transfer that’s a problem, just that freshmen can only request to room with other freshmen.</p>

<p>on the actual contract it says:</p>

<p>“First time students:
You cannot request current on-campus students.”</p>

<p>since you are a transfer, it would seem that it would be ok to live with your freshman friend. i would call the housing office.</p>

<p>Yeah, I called and emailed the housing office. The person I called said it was fine, the person I emailed said it was fine. </p>

<p>Apparently first time students (freshmen and transfers) can only request other freshmen/transfers.</p>
