Ross BBA and Sports Management Dual Degree

Hi I just had a few questions about the recently introduced dual degree offered by Ross and the Kines Department (btw I'm a jr strongly considering Michigan)

I've always been one very invested in sports both on the field (although I am by no means a recruited athlete) and off the field (the "world" of sports, Sportscenter, blah blah typical sports junkie)

For a long time I've considered business as one the fields which I would both enjoy and excell in and considered Ross to be my primary goal as far as attending business school was concerned. And then today i came across the dual degree program that is offered now at Michigan which incorporates the excellent Sports Management program with the BBA

1) Are these two separate degrees or a 2 in 1 deal?

2) For when I apply in six months or so do I need to apply to Kines and then PA to Ross or would applying to LSA at first be the path to take?

3) Have you heard of anyone who has done this program and what are their reactions?

4)On the site it says that w/o AP credit this program would reasonably take 5 years but I will have placed out of Calc and hopefully foreign language by the time I attend would this allow me to complete it in 4? (i will also have taken AP tests for 2 Histories + Both Econ, 3 Sciences...blah blah but will have notably not taken Psych and Stats do you suggest taking these specifically?)

and any general reflections on this program would be appreciated. Thanks!

bump anyone

buuuuuuuuuump

my son is a preferred bba admit (freshman) and is taking the requirements to do the dual degree in Sport Mgmt. He decided as a second semester freshman to do this. He has to apply next year and have the prereqs done by the end of sophomore year. If you come into U Mich with a lot of credits, it is possible to get it done in 4 years and yes, you get two degrees…a BBA and a BS (I think).

If I wanted to apply to this program do i apply to LSA or kinesiology. Also is this a four year course and when do you start this course. Do I have to get in PA to Ross or can i enter my sophomore year if I do not get PA?
