Ross Portfolio Case Study Advice

Hey guys, this is this year’s Ross BBA Portfolio Essay:
Choose a current event or issue in your community and discuss the business implications. Propose a solution that incorporates business principles or practices. The review panel will look for creativity, drawing connections, and originality.

When they say community, do you think I can talk about my “people?” I’m a US citizen, but there’s an issue in my home country that I think I can talk about. Would that count or is that too far for me to write about?

It’s a hard essay, and it seems fairly important. Take a few weeks and think about it.
