Ross Preadmit VS Northwestern Econ/ Kellogg Certificate Programs

Like many things, there are always two sides to them. Let’s look at the size difference in terms of student enrollment. Michigan’s engineering and BBA alone already equal the entire NU undergrad. I am sure you can do the rest of the math as far as scales go. Most of those Michigan alums probably majored in math, engineering, or econ, etc. instead of BBA anyway. My point was to refute your comment about MMSS’ placement being “subdued” or “pretty standard”.

Alexandre, I should also point out one more thing. Whatever count you have for MMSS is out of the ~30 listed on the website, not 50. MMSS is more like an applied math, not business program; they don’t track employment data as well. I think I have spent say too much time on this thread already. Ciao!

Thank you both for you’re points. Now given that I live fairly close to Northwestern, I’m undoubtably more influenced by the local bias; I do think that Northwestern has the smarter general population, and a stronger general program. However, I feel like logistically, I’ve gotten into the best combination of programs possible for Michigan. Can any alums vouch for the national reach of the two schools (preferably with personal experience hiring/living in the area)

Howiewu22, you really cannot go wrong either way. You are looking at two of the top three universities in the Midwest. Both have tremendous national reputations and appeal. Our personal experiences will be anecdotal at best. You have been presented with all the different points of views on this thread already. You should go with your gut.
