I got accepted to UM this year, but am taking a gap year for some personal reasons. So my question about Ross is, would the acceptance rate for B-school (regarding freshmen at UM) rise after the construction is finished in 2008?

At the information session they said the number admitted would be same( around 350) Considering this year there are 70 pre admits(more than last year) and definitely will be more applicants , I think the acceptance rate is going to fall.

FUTBIL, generally speaking, a new facility (particularly one as good as the Ross Building) will improve the profile of a Business program and attract the attention of more faculty... and that will usually lead to a larger applicant pools and higher yield rates. Haas is a clear example of this. You can expect Ross to become more selective in the future, but probably not in the next couple of years.

Did they say there is no plan to increase the BBA class even with the new facilities?

The director of admissions said: Class size will be 350. Period.

She never mentioned any plans to increase class size.

huh that seems odd
