How hard is it to get in? im considering it for grad school

MBA programs typically place a lot of weight on work experience and essays. Of course, a solid GPA (at least 3.3 or higher) and a good GMAT (over 700) are generally required, but most applicants have such stats.

thanks alexandre!

do u know how much work experience in general? does it also help if u have a master’s in something else, such as engineering?

Generally speaking, 4-5 years of full time experience. Internships and graduate degrees are not equivallent to work.

If it’s quality work experience, 2-3 is probably enough. I was in S&T last summer. S&T people rarely get their MBA because you basically learn your chops and become a trader. After that it’s pretty much pointless to get your MBA so maybe my sample size wasn’t big enough to be indicative of what actually goes on.

Anyway, there were 2 people who were leaving to an M7 school and they were both 2nd year analysts going onto their third year

That is correct bearcats. Investment Banking and Management Consulting analysists typically are expected to get their MBA after 2-3 years.

Bearcats, question, you’re a junior, how did you pull off BB S&T internship as a sophomore?

i know several people who have done it. it shouldnt be too tough for you with how much you’re going to dominate your classmates at this school.
