@carlsandburgsr one issue with restrictive early action is that they can barely keep up with admissions in the first place… Going restrictive would push a lot of applicants to the RD round because there would no longer be EA. That would cause an overload of apps in the second round of admissions. And with nearly 60,000 applications that’s tough.
I have bad memory especially with numbers. I think at Ross orientation for preferred students on June 7, they said they admitted 230~. They plan to have a class of 650 after freshman year.
My son said he heard 250 or close to 300. They had a slide showing the numbers on the map. If that’s the case, all the increased number went to the preferred admission.
