ROTC Four Year Chances

I'm a senior in high school and have always wanted to go into the military and do ROTC so my motivator is not the money. However, college is really expensive and I am starting to wonder if I will have the grades to get an ROTC scholarship to help pay for it. I am considering Air Force and Army ROTC with an intended major of Political Science. Thanks!

GPA: 3.8 unweighted

Class rank:18 of 287

Extra Curriculars: Baseball (I played for my school but no varsity letters); Mentor of Middle Schoolers; National Honors Society [Vice President]; Honor Flight (Helping War Veterans); Mentor of 2nd graders; Youth at the Booth

SAT: 690 CR, 630 M, 680 W, 2000 Total

ACT: 28 (Haven't gotten my latest scores back yet)

Applications should have been in by Sep 1 for the best chances. You are very late in the process and frankly that will hurt your chances.

Air Force and Army are two VERY different branches of the service with very different lifestyles and service. Unusual to be interested in both.

Majoring in Poly Sci won’t help much either. Most ROTC scholarships are targeted to technical fields now.
