You can figure this out for yourself
AP Calc AB- 3 = 4 credits- MAT 135 or MAT 150
AP Psych- 4 = 8 credits -PSY 105 & 106
AP US GOV-4= 4 credits- PSC 120
AP Comp Gov-4= 4 credits- PSC 150
So you start with 20 credits against the 192 you need to graduate.
Okay, so how much is that?
You know what you are paying / I don’t.
I mean technically 0 unless you graduate early or it charges you by a per class basis. So you should take a look at your schedule and plan out when you could potentially graduate with the classes you plan to take and the ones you have taken, and figure it out from there.
my D went to a school that charged tuition by the semester, not by the hour. Looks like DePauw does that too. Her AP classes gave her credit, which let her substitute other classes of interest to be a full-time student the first few semesters. It cost the same whether taking 12 credits or 18 per semester. Her major required 8 consecutive semesters, so she saved no money; just got to substitute some extra classes.
For you at DePauw savings will depend on the sequence of mandatory classes, if any.
My S goes to a Public U. His APs transferred in as credit and represented a direct savings because his U charges by the credit hour. So - the classes he didnt have to take at the U because of the AP were a big savings.
Thanks, but I’m going to DePaul university, not DePauw. The mods moved to the wrong section lol.
@skieurope please move this thread to the right forum
Yes as a previous poster alluded you basically save only if you can graduate a quarter early because of the extra units, since presumably you would be a full time student and you are paying by the quarter and not by the unit.
Done.
