I figured that everyone can share their thoughts/reviews on this month’s Royal Days on this thread… anyone go to the Feb 4th session?
We went the week after that. It was a nice program where there was a factulty panel discussion, opportunity for the kids to attend a class, lunch, a chance to attend a session hosted by the program/ major and a tour. I was a little disappointed - to be fair, I don’t have any others to compare to, but I was hoping for a little more excitement or energy aimed at the kids to get them excited about going to Scranton in the fall.
@2023collbound This past Royal Day (2/18) featured a very active/energetic campus IMO…not only was this the largest Royal Day session, but there were also regular campus tours (for HS Juniors and Sophs) going on as well…maybe it had something to due with the President’s Day holiday?
@2023collbound We felt the same way about the Royal Day on 2/18. Too much sitting and being talked at and we all left feeling a bit bored. My son got lost in the shuffle in regards to finding the class he was assigned to attend and at the end of lunch it was an easy decision to take Scranton off our list. BTW, this is my 3rd college-bound child, so I have been to lots of preview days, accepted student days, etc. This was a bit of a miss in my opinion.
We actually enjoyed it, but we took an almost private campus tour afterwards, plus my daughter had contacted the track coach, so we spent about an hour with him. She was surprised at how much she liked it. The majority of it was question/answer sessions.
