I forgot to mention that Princeton Review has an excellent SAT review book, which is very easy reading. I recommend you to write your own chapter summary after reading each chapter of the book. The short questionnaires are good, but you might want to skip their practice tests since you will be using the official blue SAT book.

Hey sorry for the lack of response.
Here are my stats:

Chinese:750

AP:
Human Geo:5
Chem: 5
Bio: 5
Lang:5
Calc BC:5
Euro:5
Stat:5
Lit:4
Physics C Mech:4

EC:
Science Fair: INTEL International Science and Engineering Finalist, State science fair winner all 4 years… and other science/research awards
Research projects: Psychology, Cancer genetics, Cancer treatment, ER medicine and trauma
KEY Club: Secretary
National Honor Society
GSA (4 years)
Powerlifting (3 years-competed at High School Nationals during sophomore year and senior year)

Heads up: RPI requires a minimum 1440 math and reading score with no exceptions. Also, research is a must! I know of one or two people who did not have GREAT/SIGNIFICANT research, but they had amazing grads and stats (think 2400 on SAT, 4.0 GPA, 800 on subject tests, ect.) Unless you think you fall under that category, research is the way to go. In my freshman (now sophomore - yay!) class, there were 13 people and most have competed at INTEL ISEF, published articles in Nature and/or other peer reviewed journals, and have amazing grades/stats in addition to leadership roles and starting various clubs and sports. It is going to be a challenge, since this is one program where perfect scores will not be enough to guarantee an acceptance but rather research will be what gets you in. So look for a lab and try not to annoy the professor too much

Hey guys
I’m currently a rising high school senior and am very interested in applying to a few accelerated premed programs (though not the crazy ones like in Brown). I just wanted to know what my chances are and how I could improve?
GPA - 3.95
Rank - Top 5-10%
SAT - 2250 Reading and Math (800 Math, 660 Reading, 790 Writing) - Will take it again and get at least 700 Reading guaranteed (I took the SAT last March and I’ve significantly improved this summer)
SAT II - Physics 760, US History 750, Math (1) 730, Biology (M) 740 --> planning on taking Math 2
AP’s - World History (4), Biology (4), US History (5), Physics B (5), Psychics C Mechanics (4).
During Senior year I’ll take AP Calc (AB and BC), AP Stats, and AP Lit

Extra Curriculars:
In-School -
ModelUN,
Mock Trial,
Forensics,
Model Congress,
SGA,
Science Olympiad,
and some sports activities
(in all of these activities I’ll have a leadership positions starting senior year)
I’m also starting a combined Debate and Public Speaking Club as soon as the school year starts

Outside of School -
Volunteer at 2 hospitals, each with 100+ hours,
Shadow 2 doctors in their private practices, one’s a cardiologist and the other a pediatrician (each of them are willing to give a good rec letter)
Shadow a Lab diagnostician
Member of the Youth Committee in my local community center (this committee serves over 1000 underprivileged youth a year with various events and programs), with 250+ hours
Also a teacher at the weekend school for my local community center (I teach children language and religion studies)
Starting an EMT course this fall, probably wont be state certified until January
I also did a 6 week summer program at Carnegie Mellon University after receiving the William Elliot Scholarship (covered around 10k$ in costs)

Thanks

You qualify so you should just try and apply.
