I’ve already paid my deposit for SBU, but my appeal went through for RPI. Currently I would pay 11k for SBU and 8k for RPI. However I like that SBU is closer to my home aka nyc, and also RPI’s location doesn’t seem that pleasing? Like I know SBU isn’t any better, but at least I can easily go back to the city often. RPI also seems very academic heavy, I’d personally like more internships/co ops.
You don’t have to choose the cheapest school, you just need to choose an affordable school. So if SBU (I’m also guessing Stony Brook) is comfortably affordable for your family and if it is your preference then go there.
Yeah I mean Stony Brook. And no I haven’t visited either college.
For RPI, I just have to pay just a little under 8k per year out of pocket- without loans.

I’m accepted by rpi as a transfer student. I don’t really know about this school, to be honest… Any suggestions/thoughts about rpi? I’m more interested in their career resources. Do they have enough opportunities for internships or job?? My major is computer science.
