RPI vs UMD (University Honors) for Aerospace Engineering

Hi, so I applied and got accepted into both the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the University of Maryland, in which I got into the honors college. My major is Aerospace Engineering, in which I might want to lean towards astro and possibly work at NASA but I’m not sure yet. Also, both will cost about the same for me. So, I’m in a bit of a predicament because I know they both have great programs but I have no idea which one might be better than the other or which school offers better opportunities. Any advice or insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have you been to visit? Campuses and location have totally different feels.

Personally though, for aero, I would choose UMD. When we visited, we felt UMD had stronger industry connections and more internship opportunities.

I have already seen UMD and i’m going to see RPI this friday, but yeah, i was pretty impressed with the opportunities I saw at UMD. I also quite enjoyed the feel of UMD and the campus, except the dorms of course. Do you know if RPI has any connections with organizations like NASA or SpaceX or things of that nature?
