@darksigma: Next year I am doing College Geometry and Number Theory. Yeah, I may learn some Real Analysis on my own.

@undercover: I’m applying for research science too (biology, in particular) because math just happens to be a pastime of mine. Biology is much more fascinating for me. What ru applying for specifically?

I put my subfields as genetics (first choice) and proteomics (second choice)…If emails aren’t out by the end of school I don’t think we’ll get them today

I am applying for biochemistry and neuroscience

Number Theory and Fracture Mechanics :)

What time is it in RSI’s time zone? Either the emails aren’t coming today or those that have been rejected haven’t posted yet.

I am applying for research in number theory.

So basically there are a lot of mathers here; for future reference I revere all of you, as you guys have taken classes that I would kill to take: but my darn public school didn’t even let me skip algebra 2.

And to RSIUser I’m guessing east coast since we mailed to VA. So maybe 1:30 of feasible time remaining for emails.

Officially no emails today ):

Or we could all be accepted!!! Hardly. Sigh, I guess we have to wait til tomorrow? It has to be tomorrow, right? Or alternatively, RSI could be changing the way it notifies applicants again, as last year apparently people had no idea emails would be the MO for rejections…

I think it’s tomorrow or Wednesday and acceptees on Thursday or Friday But it’s hard to tell. CEE is so unpredictable )’:

I don’t think it could really be any later than wednesday if they’re sending rejection emails…

can anybody call them and ask them if they are mailed out or something?

I’m pretty sure they’re off work already, no?

oooh right eastern time…darnit. email?

The email I’ve frequented before is maite@cee.org. She responds pretty quickly, albeit in a terse manner :P.

I think it’s maite@cee.org if anybody wants to stick their head out and ask what’s up

Edit: kikuhana crossed posts with me…

If you can remove the email address of the CEE person or deleate your post you should do so. If you post an email address on the internet robots will read it and send spam to it. The proper way to post an email address so that robots cannot read it is maite(at)cee(dot)org

@Und3rC0ver, I didn’t take my courses through my high school. In fact, I took geometry my freshman year and it wasn’t untill after that that I realized there were other options. I took algebra 2 online over the summer and, with the teacher’s permission, worked ahead in pre-calculus so as to test out of it after one semester and test into calculus by taking the first semester final exam. My calculus teacher exempted me from the homework so that I could continue working at my own pace. None of this was standard at my school. In fact, one counsler told my not to take algebra 2 online because the class was not weighted and would hurt my GPA and that I was overworking the teachers by working ahead (not true). If you want to get into some advanced math classes, I recomend that you start by taking some through CTY or EPGY (I recommend CTY if they offer what you want) and force your school to accept the credit. The key is to just keep working ahead, no matter what they tell you, and not to take no for an answer.

I don’t believe I can remove the address. I had never heard of these robots before though…strange.

I wish notifications would come already. I feel so stressed
