RSI for Delaware?

what's my chance of getting admitted to rsi from delaware? i'm an international student from delaware, so am i considered as an international student or domestic student from delaware?

help me with the chances---~~!!

Delaware? What school? I go to Polytech.

International student refers to residence. Are you permanent resident/citizen of the United States now? If so, you're not an international student.

i go to st. andrew's; not many sciency or mathy students here but still..

i am a foreign student, but rsi told me to use the domestic form if i'm in the US

so what is my chance anyway??

Good chance if you excel over their requirements. Doesn't really matter where you're from as long as you're above what they're looking for.

so that begs the question, what ARE they looking for?

doesn't rsi select students geographically? how strong is a Delaware applicant usually?

I heard that if you don't have previous research experience or something, you are basically doomed (?) .. is that right?

and requirements are, I think, psat 140 or above with math above 74 or something..

anyone for chance for getting into rsi from delaware?

anyone?? help me out with chances...;; not that it's going to be a guarantee, but i just want to have a general idea, in terms of geographic location i'm in..

but DO you have previous research experiance? I don't think you're doomed if you don't, but the majority of students who apply do have experiance, so not sure about that. Rather have some then none don't you think? (With exception of nothing being available near your area, family problems, etc.)

well, i'm from korea, and pretty much did not have much time for having research opportunities but instead had to learn english quickly and to transfer to more decent high school;;

should i let them know of this circumstance??

Its not enough to be above their PSAT requirements. Really, that would make RSI 1000 people. So you have to be much much better.

yeah, that's true... wouldn't boosting up by good grades and decent recommendations help a lot? or are grades and recommendations just not really important..??

everyone who applies to RSI will have great grades and pretty good recs. it's the science/math extracurriculars and the extent of involvement that make one stand out over the other.

so that's why you are kind of "doomed" if you don't have any research experience..

i have a few awards, clubs, and such, but they are not as significant as research experience..

i guess i'll just give up on this program..;;

well i heard last year there were 3-5 kids or something that didn't have research experience. as long as u wrote a persuasive essay, ur still in for the running.

3-5 kids..;; well, is that like probability of 1% or something?

doesn't sound very good, but thanks for the information-
