Running for NHS president.

I'm running for NHS president what do you think of my speech so far.

First off I’d like to thank Mrs. _____ and Mrs. __for giving me the opportunity to run for this position. My name is _and I am running for the 2012-2013 National Honor Society president. I am running simply because I have a vision for this chapter. When I think about what separates National Honor Society from other clubs and organizations at Forest Park. I think of NHS of being a group of determined over achievers that want to really better their community through leadership, service, scholarship, and character. I want to be the leader of the pack of that group of determined workers so that we can make not only the school a better place to be, but to make ___ County a better place to be.

Why should you vote for me you may ask? You should vote for me not only because of the vision that I have for this chapter, but because I have experienced being a leader before. As an athlete for (school name) our teams go through their good days and their bad days. Many of you know that from firsthand experience. On those bad days I always try to take initiative to raise the team’s moral. Whether it’s on the track or on the water I know that a team with a poor attitude gives a poor performance. If you elected me as your National Honor Society president I would drive this chapter to give its best performance for the school and its community.

If I were your president I would take the time to make everyone feel like what they have to say matters. I don’t want anyone to feel belittled or nervous to share their ideas, because I truly believe that everyone here has something to contribute to NHS. Also I would make the effort in creating fun fundraisers like hosting car washes and movie nights.

Blah. So platitude. Make it funny.

Too long. Make it short and sweet.

Tl; dr.

10chahh

You need something to stand out, or else you’re likely to be forgotten. Humour is probably the easiest way to do it.

I agree, tldr. Besides, it’ll just be a popularity contest.

Not necessarily Bassoonapus.

Agree with HobbitTon. Definitely not always.

It would make me NOT want to vote for you MORE

Sounds like the same goddamn bs I hear from every goddamn politician I’ve heard in collegiate debates and speeches. . .

You will have 9 billion facsimiles reciting the same dull novel.

Point is: make it unique. Or make it stand out.
