Even though they say they send it by 2 day priority mail, what they don’t tell you is that they will SEND it out not today, but about a week from now. If you do not rush your scores, Penn will receive the score report on Dec. 12th.

I am now worried that even if I rush the scores it might be too late. Its processed in two days. **Does anyone know if Penn is in the College Board electronic score report system? **If so, then the rushed score will be received by Friday this week. Otherwise, we will need to wait for the regular mail (not even priority) to get there.

I talked with two reps and had one rep talk to another rep to verify. If you haven’t done so, rush those score in now.

i have a question. i got a 600 on my satII lit so i didnt report it on my app. but i retook it anyways this month and got a 680. should i send it anyway?

I called my Penn regional admission officer and she said that rush reporting your scores from college board is not the most convenient way to send the nov scores. I was told that my school received my scores, and to just have my school fax Penn my scores. She said that this is a quicker and cheaper alternative.

It will be process in two biz days (which is what they mean by the rush). Apparently the additional 26.50 means that some bloke just stuff the score report in a regular envelope in the next two days. They don't even send it through priority mail.

high flyer, can u explain that? what do u mean that the school got the score report and faxed that in? do they accept that?

so like, if i got my guidance counselor to look at my sat scores on my collegeboard account, and he signed off on it sayign it was good and i faxed it everything would be chill??

when i took the November SAT II, i indicated penn as a recipient of my scores (i'm applying ED to LSM and wharton). when i checked to see if the scores were sent, it says my score report was sent on 11/20/2006. so what's the point of rushing the scores if the scores were sent 8 days ago?

Well I haven't done it yet, but I will tomorrow. Your high school receives your scores for SAT. From what the admission officer told me is that instead of paying the high fees from the college board to rush your november scores, you can ask your guidance counselor to fax over the copy that your school received from college board. I know that when I applied Early, my school had what appeared to be little stickers with my SAT scores. They attached them to one of my resumes and sent that off then. So what I gather from the conversation that I had with the admission officer today is that you can ask your counselor about faxing over your scores to the admission department. However, printing your scores off of your college board account is not an offical report. Your school should have received your scores officially. I would contact the admission department tomorrow and ask about it if you want to be completely safe. FYI they gave me a fax number for the admission department so I am guessing it's legit

ninehuman> No...thats when they were processed. Not when they were sent. If you go to history of sent reports (click on the button) it says "still processing" as they haven't been sent yet.

i get that (sorry if it's hard to read) when i access my scores in college board.. i don't see "still processing" anywhere under history of sent scores

UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION SAT Subject Tests 11/2006 Request still pending, 11/20/06

And I called in twice and spoke to two different representatives about this. And they told me that the college will receive the score reports on Dec 12 if you do not rush. Take that for what its worth. The 26.50 is a small payment when you consider the alternative.

Anyone call Penn up to ask whether they take electronic notification from the collegeboard? The person I talked to said as long as the report is from the collegeboard, its good enough. But she could not answer whether Penn was part of the electronic notification thing (and I got out of my interview too late to call up my regional rep).

This is for early decision not for regular. I don't think taking the january ones will help considering decisions are being made as we speak or very very soon.

oh that's a relief...but i think i have another problem now, i can't seem to find the "history of send report" button in my account on collegeboard, i'm sure i saw it a few days ago, but now that i logged on i can't find it! What's going on?
