I decided to add on University of Pennsylvania to my college list reeeally last minute. Like at the end of last week. I thankfully got all my recs and transcripts together. But for the SAT score reports, I thought if i just sent all my scores without choosing the rush option, then it would be too late. (I was not aware most colleges accept SAT reports even if they arrive after the deadline) So I rushed my scores to Upenn. I looked around the web just now and it says some colleges don't like rushed reports..... is it bad that I did this for Upenn??

dont rush, scores dont need to be there exactly on Jan 1st, need to be there by mid Jan.

@Banned, but I already rushed the scores…is this really bad?

^ I’m not sure, but I know a lot schools dont want you to rush scores.

Can anyone else add on?

^ I don’t see the difference to schools if the student rushed scores or not… They are receive the score in the same way regardless.

On the Penn Website, it says November SAT scores must be rushed for Early applications, but does not mention anything else about regular decision & whether they accept rushed scores…

Though rush was not necessary, Penn will accept rushed scores.

@drusba, ugh I know!! I so regret not researching more before I clicked that send button. I did not need to rush it, and only learned of that fact after I’d rushed the scores…oh well, I hope this won’t affect my admissions badly. Thank you so much! I’m relieved now.

I agree. A lot of schools don’t like rushed reports b/c it’s more complicated to view them. There’s a weird process they have to go through in order to see rushed scores.

I haven’t sent out any scores yet-planning to do this in 2 days, after December testing results are out. Schools who allow you to take tests in January don’t care if your scores arrive exactly on Jan 1 or whatever deadline they’ve set. As long as it comes in early-mid Jan, you’ll be fine.

I don’t think you have anything to worry about. You’ll be fine! Breathe! My scores were finally received by UPenn in the middle of November and I rushed the scores to them. I still got in. Don’t worry.
