<p>Could anyone shed some light on the strength of the Slavic program at Vanderbilt? I love the school and I am certain it is THE perfect fit for me. However, my major is hard to come by, especially in schools in the South (I am from FL and only three schools offer it here). I was just curious how is the strength of the Foreign Languages as whole at VU?</p>

<p>There are about 2 Russian majors at Vanderbilt. It's not a big department at all. Check the course schedule on Vanderbilt's website, and you'll see that there isn't much offered. Honestly, if you're serious about Russian and aren't just doing it for kicks to have a second language, you might want to look elsewhere.</p>
