<p>I'm thinking about doing the Rustic Pathways program "come with nothing go home rich" to thailand where you only bring one change of clothing and do community service etc. Has anyone done it and do you recommend it? Also, I know this won't help with colleges.</p>

<p>My D has done Rustic pathways for 3 summers, loves the people, it is well organized and lots of fun. Highly recommend. It is pricey, though.</p>
<p>She taught Aborigines in Australia last summer, and used the experiences in her essay to good effect in college apps. </p>

<p>I’m trying to convince my mom to let me go on a Thailand trip this summer. I am 14 and i am very interested in traveling the world. She is worried about safety. I have never traveld out of the country before and she is worried something bad will happen to me. any worries/ issues with safety or does anyone feel that the safety is good and why? please help.</p>
