Rutgers C/O 2021 Admissions/Discussion

I called this morning about the honors college and they said if the emails aren’t sent out today then you should hear early next week.

@ByteZz I’m out of state and my scholarship info for NB SAS, SOE, and SEBS was up this morning.

@kayswim23

That’s awesome. I guess I’ll hold tight. I really want a scholarship that makes Rutgers almost free. It would really help my family’s situation.

When I try to log in to the aid portal it says my SSN/birthday aren’t found :frowning: I emailed them adn they said they had my FAFSA though…

I believe I read that the Presidential scholarship automatically comes with Honors College invite.

A little concerned that these scholarship awards were under “Academic Year 2016-2017” and that by accepting we were “indicating interest in enrolling for fall 2016”
Does this have any relevance as to how valid these scholarship statements are??

They just haven’t changed it for the 2017 - 2018 school head but the scholarships are valid for next school year

How are you guys logging in to the scholarship portal?

It says Honors College invitees will automatically get Presidential, Henry Rutgers, Trustee, or Carr Scholarship. So if you received one, I would think that’s a good indication. So happy to get a trustee scholarship for SEBS!

@Ceciliaagnes Where/How did you log in to see your scholarship?

What’s going on? The scholarship portal is redirecting to the financial aid main homepage.

Yeah looks like the website is down.

@EverythingIsBlue, this is the link:
https://studentaid.rutgers.edu/scholarship/Login.aspx
But as everyone is saying, it’s down right now.

This is very frustrating. So if the scholarship portal is redirecting to the financial aid homepage, and then when you try to log in with SS# and DOB, and it says your information is not in their records, I guess that means your scholarship hasn’t been posted yet?

I’m relieved to find that I am not the only one with this issue @steelersseven

@chansu99 And when I tried to call the financial aid office, the guy took the information, put me on hold, then hung up on me. Grrr

Does anyone know whether, if you are not admitted directly into the Honors College, you can request admission through an appeals process or otherwise? Do people get Honors College offers after others turn them down?

My guess is that the data was not intended to be released. They are populating data and folks like us realized it was there for at least some people. My guess is that someone called admissions to ask about something and they took it down on purpose. Partial data will generate questions and phone calls that they do not want to handle. Likely they are populating and will change the header and re-open within a few days.

@Njmom224 I think you are absolutely correct.

Does anyone know if Rutgers will send any physical mail about scholarships/honors college once everything gets released online? I’m OOS (NY) and this aid would really determine whether or not I enroll…
