Rutgers C/O 2021 Admissions/Discussion

getting error too and the guy answering the phone was not too swift

@NorthofBoston26 & @wowed777 agree with the crapshoot comment lol. I was asked to send mid year grades to one of my safety schools but friends with lower stats were accepted! I don’t understand it or any of this

On the Go Rutgers site, someone asked if the scholarships were out yet. Jennifer Hollis of the Rutgers staff just responded: “Hi! No they are not yet! We are expecting them about the end of next week. I know everyone is really anxious, but hang in there just a bit longer.” Not sure what that means, if anything, for the numbers some people saw earlier this morning.

Where can you find what the dollar amount for the different scholarship levels are ?

To those who received the Trustee Scholarship, what were your stats?

@mooseabe8, 31 ACT, 4.0 UW, 6.429 W, 1/294

Anyone wit the Presidential - what were your stats ?
Is it full tuition or full tuition and room & Board ?

Trustee is tuition while presidential is tutition and room and board

@gj0506 Thanks - that is helpful info.

@lorhop I received the presidential. My stats are 35 ACT, 1540 SAT, 1/268 ranking, 108/100 WGPA, and 11 total AP Classes. Hope that helps!

Btw, am I the only person who regularly experiences difficulties with rutgers websites? Aside from this, the portal takes extremely long to load for me, and hangs often. I was lucky to even be able to submit my app!

Do they give admissions decisions on weekends or just M-F?

@noelle2017

As far as I know, it’s Monday to Friday. Friday seems to be the most common day.

Thank you @ByteZz !
Also does anyone know if Cappex is accurate when it gives you your chances?
It said I’m on the fence for Rutgers (which I kind of knew) but said “you’re sort of in the middle” for a couple of others
Is this a good guideline?

I applied RD to NB and Newark campus (SAS). Got accepted in NB , waiting for Newark reply.
When will we know about financial aid ??

@kainat1998

I believe scholarship and financial aid notifications will release concurrently. That’s a new step by Rutgers because last year, this was not the case. According to information on Go Rutgers, this new release method is the reason why students didn’t receive their scholarship information on the 18th (the original date that everyone was hyped for).

@noelle2017
You’ll be fine! I’ve seen kids with trully garbage stats get in. Keep your head up high and I can guarantee you’ll be in by the 31st!

I have a question: is the personal essay considered when making the scholarship and Honor’s College decisions?

@Exwire

Yes, they are. However, they aren’t nearly as significant as your grades, class rank, and standardized testing are.

@Zarif981 thank you! I applied RD…could be another month.
My leadership and ec’s are giving me Hope otherwise my stats are no Bueno. In state in NJ there aren’t good options tbh. Tcnj and rutgers are tough and I don’t want to go to the others
