I just got an email that I was accepted, haven’t committed yet (waiting on an official scholarship offer) so I can’t see that portal. Is that different than what it was before? @ByteZz
My DS just got email. Accepted to honors college to SAS, engineering and pharmacy!!!
Did everyone get the honors college email at the same time? I’m refreshing furiously but haven’t gotten anything yet.
How recently did she receive the email?

Remove the parentheses.
where are you even viewing the Honors acceptance?
@CalmConquistador it looks like everyone’s going off emails that were sent at right about 2pm, mine was 2:01pm eastern
@gj0506 from what I have read all “honors college” students get a full four year scholarship. That is the “presidential scholarship” and it covers everything and you must live in the Honors college dorm. The “honors program” is specific to each school and an invitation does not guarantee a scholarship, but makes it more likely I would think. I believe for the honors program you are not required but encouraged to live in the honors dorm for your school.
My brother is in honors college and he only got 13k a year.
What were his stats?
@gj0506 then he is most likely in the honors program for his particular Rutgers school. The honors “college” comes with the presidential scholarship and required residence in the new “honors college residences” (as a freshman) which was built in 2015. Please let me know if I am wrong, but there is a difference between honors programs for each Rutgers school and THE “honors college”, of which there is only one, combining students from all Rutgers schools and putting them in the same dorm on the Raritan.
I was accepted to the Honors College, my email came in at exactly 2pm. Any stats on how many people get accepted to this per year? I’m curious. How many students are there in the honors college for each grade level as well? I’m referring to the university honors college, not a school specific honors program. Thanks!
Have any international students received an invitation from the Honors College? What about OOS?
@steelersseven No, the Honors College is NOT an automatic Presidential Scholarship. And I already answered you earlier, you are correct in that there is a difference between the Honors College and the Honors program for each Rutgers College.
More information on scholarship you can receive through the Honors College:

@theunicorncorral From what I have seen, the dorm houses about 500 freshman - and since freshman are required to live there - I am assuming that slightly more than that are accepted - depending on how many turn the offer down.
is there any chance more honors college or program decisions will be released? can you appeal the decision?
@nf1234 yes, it’s possible more will be released as the deadline is not here yet. I doubt you can appeal.
@ByteZz 32 ACT, Eagle Scout, lots of ec’s, state and national awards
@Fishnlines29 I guess the more thorough and correct answer would be that Presidential Scholarship is automatic Honors College but Honors College is not automatic Presidential Scholarship? Is that what you are saying? And do you now understand why there is potential for confusion on the issue?
@steelersseven I think you should follow @Fishnlines29 advice
@Fishnlines29 okay thank you!
