@lovemycats what other school is he considering? UMD is on my list other than Rutgers for CS
@cshigh He was accepted at UMD but they did not give him a big enough scholarship to keep them on the list. He was accepted into their honors college as well. It was very disappointing because talking to them we expected much more & they will not much or change the scholarship offer. They actually turned out to be the most expensive school, moe then the privates & tech schools. He is considering Binghamton. No scholarship but instate for us & also honors program. CS is smaller but after visiting is promising for internships & job outlook. After visiting Rutgers I was not crazy about busing for sure & dept head did say CS kids get jobs but didn’t go into internships or how jobs are achieved. He did say they use a job/intership board that kids need to check in the computer lab (spoke a lot about lab & how they want the kids to use it) but I felt should be more through email as well. My son walked away still unsure. I hope he decides before April 30.
