the pre med program requires that you go to sas either way

Anyone know when they’re offices open again?

^ I want to say next week.

2 years around this time, I heard back from Rutgers. So, I’m pretty sure that some of you will begin to hear decisions within the next two weeks. . . maybe NEXT WEEK!

Good luck guys. =)

The office is open today (January 4)

Sigh. Emerica I am in the almost the same boat as you. Had everything in october but paid the fee early november. I have friends that heard back a week after applying even thought they applied after the deadline. All I got from Rutgers was a status requesting my 7th semester grades.

Yeah dude it’s killing me at this point. I got a bit scared because my friend, who applied roughly the same time as me, just got a rejection letter and her stats aren’t far off from mine…

Ugh now I’m really nervous. Rutgers is like my top choice :-/

Friend just got denied with 3.0 and 1790. It doesn’t make me feel too good considering i have a 3.45 and 1630.

Accepted to Business - NB, SAS - NB, and Environmental - NB

In-State
SAT 1 sitting: 1950
SAT superscore: 2010
ACT: 32 with 9 essay

GPA is like a 3.5 uw
GPA weighted is a little above 6

Got a few 4s on AP Tests

A little above 6? ■■■■■. Epic Fail. Thats impossible. I don’t care how smart you are 3.5 to a 6 is not possible.

^ Sometimes I don’t get how some high schools have weighted GPAs that are 5.0 or higher (I know it has something to do with AP classes, but still – why?)

At my high school, the valedictorian of my class had a 4.9 weighted GPA.

Anyway, good luck to those who are waiting on decisions. Don’t feel discourage if your friends with similar stats got rejections because you never know.

Yea my friends school his valedictorian also has around a 4.8 and he took almost every AP that was offered. But 6.0?? Yea right.

So does it really say rejected? Im scared…

I think they put “Not Accepted” next to each school you applied to. I guess it sounds better =

I just checked the date I paid my app fee and it was 10/17. My folder has been complete since then and still no real acceptance or rejection :-/

@cometstarg
Don’t worry, you’re not alone.

got into arts and sciences, college of biological sciences, and engineering at new brunswick.
gpa: 3.75 weighted
SAT: 1710 combined
ACT: 27

im waiting to hear from penn state which is my number one school. im out of state from california. does anyone know how comparable undergrad educations at penn state and rutgers are?

Also, if we have not heard from Penn State yet, do we still have a chance of getting into university park?

when did you apply to psu?

mahana, to be honest imho I don’t think you’d get into PSU-UP, their standards have gone up a lot that I feel as though a 1710 SAT/27 ACT is actually kind of low. To be honest, I say PSU-UP is better than Rutgers in terms of education, name, and athletics… Going to PSU-UP is smarter than going to Rutgers, if you got into both schools…

their standards havent gone up enough if they let me in.

^ What were your stats? I was comparing it to the admissions standards around four years ago since my brother applied back then.
